Edward C. Gold is CEO/Founding Partner at Blue Dog, as well as the Interim VP, Growth Marketing at Chameleon Collective, and also serves in an advisory role as Executive-in-Residence with Progress Partners.
With decades of marketing, media and sponsorship experience, Ed was formerly the Head of Brand Marketing at State Farm. In this role he oversaw marketing strategy, creative, media and sponsorship efforts, for all of State Farm’s Property & Casualty product lines and customer segments, including all digital, performance marketing, lead generation and multi-cultural efforts.
Named an “Online Media All-Star” (Mediapost), one of the “21 Most Intriguing People in Media” (min online), one of CableFAX’s “Sweet 16”, and inducted as a Marketing, Advertising, and Media “Leader & Legend” (Media Village), Ed has a proven track record of excellence. Under Ed's leadership State Farm was named the “2016 Sports Sponsor of the Year” (Sport Business Journal) and the “2019 Esports Brand of the Year” (Tempest Awards). Ed has led lucrative brand partnerships with the NBA, Disney/Pixar, ESPN, Riot Games, Major League Baseball, Telemundo, and Apple, as well as NIL and stadium sponsorships.
Previously, Ed has held leadership roles as the Senior Vice President/Media Director at Kalis & Savage Worldwide Partners in Los Angeles, Vice President/Sales & Business Development for Executive Sports International, and Vice President/Associate Media Director at DDB Needham Chicago.
Edward is a graduate of the University of Illinois and lives in Chicago. He spends his free time on the golf course, at sports events, or with his two sons.
